How Does The Jewelry Work?
Threaded and Threadless jewelry are not like the standard butterfly back earring you can pick up at a department store. The pieces fit together in a slightly different way making them interchangeable and custom sizable.

Threadless jewelry is a push pin style, where the front/top is the detachable portion. The backing is either a flat disk or a round bead and is fixed to the wearing surface/post.

Posts have a hollow opening and tops have an attached pin that snaps into the post. The pin has a slight bend, which creates tension to keep your two pieces snapped tightly together.

Your jewelry will always have to be inserted from the back of your piercing.

All threadless pieces are interchangeable with other threadless pieces, tops, and posts are interchangeable with each other.

Threadless tops can snap into 18g, 16g, and 14g threadless posts with a few exceptions. You never want the top to be the same size or smaller than the post, otherwise, the jewelry will pull all the way through your piercing.

The sizing specifications are included under each jewelry description.

Threaded jewelry comes in three separate pieces. The wearing surface/post can be straight, curved, or circular and both ends are detachable. Posts have a hollow opening and ends have the male end threading, making the ends thread into the post. 18g and 16g have the same thread pattern and are interchangeable within those two sizes. 14g and 12g also have the same thread pattern and are interchangeable within the two sizes. This means a gem labeled 18g/16g will screw into both of the specified gauges.

When purchasing a threaded post we will include a backing of your choice. This makes this style even more interchangeable. You're able to choose and change every aspect of the jewelry whenever you please.

Seam rings and fixed gem rings are solid pieces of metal that bend open and close at the seam, making the jewelry appear seamless. Seam rings should never be bent open like a Pac-Man mouth. This warps the shape and makes it hard to get the seam to meet back up.

Bend the ring open in a torque "s" shape, like a jump ring would be bent.

"Clickers" are better options if you need to take your jewelry in and out regularly.

Frequent removal of a seam ring will eventually warp the jewelry. Clickers operate on a hinge mechanism making them more user-friendly. They snap open and closed.

How Long Will It Take To Heal?
During the healing process, it's normal to have some swelling, redness, bruising, minor bleeding, and/or tenderness. Continue to clean the piercing for the entire recommended time. Your piercing will heal from the outside in, and may not be completely healed even if it feels like it is.

The initial jewelry you're given will have extra wearing space to accommodate for swelling during the healing process. It is important for the health of your piercing to get the jewelry downsized to assure that the extra length does not become a hindrance.
Jewelry that is too long can have long-term issues or disrupt healing.

Even after it‘s healed, never leave your jewelry out for extended periods of time. Everyone's body is different, and it may begin to close more quickly than you'd expect. Any materials touching your piercing should always be clean.
For ear or facial piercings, change your pillowcase frequently. For body piercings, wear clean clothing against it, and change your bedding frequently. Eat ice to help alleviate swelling with oral piercings.

DO. NOT. TOUCH. YOUR. PIERCING.

Excessive redness, heat, elevated body temperature, red streaks, and foul-smelling discharge can be signs of an infection.
Call your physician and notify your piercer.

Can I Film Myself Getting Pierced?
We allow photographs but please no video.
Do You Pierce Babies?
We do not. Consent is an important part of our procedure and wouldn't offer a piercing to anyone who couldn't offer their consent.
Do You Pierce Minors?
We are now accepting clients 12 years and older! Earlobes only for ages 12-16. Minor clients must have a birth certificate AND a photo ID of some sort. Parent must have ID. Please leave any other kiddos not being pierced at home. We only allow children who are being pierced in the studio to keep everyone safe!
Can I Go Swimming With a New Piercing?
A piercing is different from other wounds in the way that your jewelry is keeping the wound open longer than a regular cut. This leaves a direct path for bacteria to enter your body.
We recommend anywhere from 2-6 months before getting into any kind of standing water.
Can I Get Pierced If I'm Pregnant Or Nursing?
You just made an entirely new life INSIDE your own body! Creating life is a tough job and we want to make sure all necessary resources are being used for that and to recover from doing the job.
Wait until you’re six weeks postpartum, then we can pierce you and gush over your cute baby pictures!
Do You Offer ALL Piercings?
Currently we don't offer surface or genital piercings.
Email us and we would be happy to give you a recommendation to a trusted piercer!
We're not going to perform "venom" tongue, surface tongue, smiley piercings, tongue web piercings, or anything we feel may be unsafe for you.
